Our Worldwide Community
Mililani Buddhist Temple is part of a worldwide community of Shin Buddhists called the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha or Nishi Hongwanji, with the collective goal of helping people live life to the fullest through practices, teachings, and programs for everyday people.
This provides us the ability to offer visitors and members a large variety of opportunities and programs in not only our Central Oahu community, but around the world.
The Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha has affiliated organizations around the world (see the world map).
In addition to temples and religious organizations, the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha has various programs including schools and higher education institutions, youth & adult programs and organizations, and other entities.
The regional organization for the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha in Hawaii is the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii (HHMH).
HHMH oversees 30+ temples, schools and organizations including Mililani Buddhist Temple, allowing us to offer various educational, personal development, and community service opportunities.
